LP2 Quirk #2: Expression Pedal Curve for Volume Too Steep

This is the other issue I’ve been having with my LP2 (version 3.28, controlled with Morningstar MC6 and iPad).

Issue 2: When I use an expression pedal or a virtual slider (on my iPad) to send CC’s to adjust track volume, the curve is too steep to control reliably. Moving the pedal just past the toe position drops the volume drastically, and the track becomes inaudible by the time I’m about 20% into the pedal’s sweep. With a virtual slider on my iPad, I can fine tune the minimum and maximum values to improve this behavior, but it’s still hard to use subtly. I saw something about an adjusted curve in the firmware release notes, but updating to the latest firmware didn’t solve the issue for me.

Let me look. Check and see what you CC min and max values are for that control.

I tried all sorts of combinations. With min 0 and max 127, I get that drastic sweep where it shuts off almost right away. I found I could getter a more usable sweep if I raised the min value to somewhere around 40-45, but the track output is still audible if I raise it too high.

Sorry for the delay. Still have this on my list.
